    Konerko resigning with White Sox

PK will return for a 16th season per Ken Rosenthal.

I was hoping for some good news for us when we finally got any news. I assume Paulie will at least come back on a very friendly salary.

Maybe this will help get Dunn out the door.

Not sure how you can complain, he's said a million times he'll play a reduced role, and now Dunn doesn't have to face tough lefties. Certainly shows that the Sox are at least trying to compete this year imo, no point in bringing him back if they were mailing it in.

I think a corresponding move is coming. Can't go in with Dunn and Konerko on the same roster with Abreu.

I think PK has some baseball left, but not as a part time player.

now i see dunn being moved. even if it wont be for much.

i simply cannot see a platoon at DH depending on the opposing starter.

$2.5M for PK. That is a good deal can easily eat money for Dunn. $1M deferred until 2021.

    $1.5M for 2014 is nothing.

1 year 2.5 million with 1 million deferred until 2021 per Bruce Levine of 670TheScore

Looks like to me either Dunn is traded or a lot of platooning is going to happen in 2014. Between Abreu, Dunn & Konerko

Has to be a trade Dunn and Konerko are both hitters who need consistent ABs.

Dont like the idea of dumping Dunn. If Abreu doesn't explode we literally have no run producers. I also think Dunn and Konerko are pretty good friends, I mean why would the Sox have faith in Paulie as an everyday player anymore..

That is great that he can do his farewell tour with the Sox as he has been the face of the franchise for the last decade.

H-here we go Dunn in LF guys!!!!

This is awful. If we trade Dunn we are replacing him with a worse hitter on an already offensively challenged team. If we play Dunn in LF, it negates alot of what he does with the bat.

So we have 3 guys who can basically only play 1b, and a LF who can't play LF.
