WOW - Somebody is excited. It's only Monday and this thread is up already.

The Lions are decent stopping the run but are 24th against the pass I don't believe that they are very good - but we'll see.
How well will they play outside in December?

If Foles can throw 2 TD's without an interception, he will be in the record books and in the Hall of Fame - Again.

I really wanna see the record. its a huge achievement. I think eagles wont be able to control CJ and Bush. Eagles fall short.

"Foles is the QB for the next 1000 years!"

Chip Kelly to the reporters today. Getting annoyed with the questions lol.

Lions make me nervous. I hope we can contain that line and limit CJ(easier said then done).

The D has to do a better job on Bush this week than they did on Mendenhall. Give safety help on Calvin every play. The D has to get in Stafford's face and force pressure. Going to need a couple of takeaways.

Who the heck uses central time in game threads

But they get 10 days of and with how well Nate Allen has been playing deep, I hope they do the same coverage on Calvin that they did last year.

Put Fletch and Nate on Calvin and let Carey stick on Durham ( should be easy for him) and let Boykin handle Burleson out the slot.

Kendricks can easily cover Pettigrew with his atleticism.

Interested to see if foles breaks Peyton's record

He had a chance to break Peyton's single game record and just tied it, wonder if he'll capitalize this time.

    30-0 do it nick

Pass rush baby! That will be the key to forcing Stafford to throw a few ints.Cole has suddenly came alive,if he can keep it up,along with Logan,Thornton, and Curry,Megatron won't be a huge factor.Sure he can have his 125 yards and 1 td,but I'll take a win, with Stafford throwing 2 ints and possibly a fumble.

Our offensive line is perhaps playing the best they have this season, they keep Foles upright he will throw at least 2 tds.Hoping to see McCoy have a few more touches this week.

So this is the game that worries me the most... Here is why

    Eagles Last 5 Avg
    Offensive PPG 26
    Defensive PGU 17

    Lions Last 5 Avg
    Offensive PPG 28
    Defensive PGU 24

    Eagles Opp Ranking Avg
    Offense 20th
    Defense 20th

    Lions Opp Ranking
    Offense 14th
    Defense 21st

Eagles Rankings over last 5 Games
    Offense 7th
    Defense 4th

Lions Rankings over last 5 games
    Offense 2nd
    Defense 19th

Before we begin... I know this is not a perfect system.

Everything I did, ranking-wise, was done by ppg.

I took the score from each teams last 5 game, as well as their opponent offensive and defensive rankings for the season (would have been too difficult to adjust for opponents last 5 games).

Based on those numbers, Philly has faced (on avg) the 20th ranked offense and the 20 ranked defense each week. While Detroit has faced the 14th ranked offense and the 21st ranked defense.

If all things were equal between the Eagles and the Lions, then you would expect the Lions to score a slight bit more. Which is exactly what you see. On avg they score 2pts more per game over that 5 game time-frame than the Eagles.

But you would also expect them to get scored upon significantly more as well. Which is exactly what you see. They gave up 7pt per game more than the Eagles during that time.

Over the last 5 games, the Eagles have ranked 7th in pts scored and 4th in pts given up. We faced slightly better defenses.

Over the last 5 games, The Lions have ranked 2nd in pts scored and 19th in pts given up. They faced significantly better offenses.

What does this all mean? WE ARE PRETTY EVENLY MATCHED TEAMS!!!!

So how do you call it... Its gonna be a tight one unless someone has an amazing day (COME ON FOLES),

    Eagles 31 - Lions 27

Eagles with 4 tds and a FG
Lions with 3 Tds and 2 FGs

    Side Note:

AZ was ranked 2nd in pts scored over their previous five games prior to playing us as well.

The Lions and the Cards are similarly built teams with having great wrs... but I think AZ has the better all around wrs corp while Detroit has, obviously, the best wr in the game.

Preparation wise... I think this week looks pretty similar to last week... at least for the defense.

Idk. Stafford is much better than Palmer. Calvin is Calvin. Bush is much more dynamic than Mendenhall who the defense could not slow down. Lions Oline is a lot better too.

20thK -You forgot one very important statistic - 30-something degrees with possible precipitation.
