IGT: Philadelphia Flyers at Nashville Predators

    Time: 8:00pm
    Place: Bridgestone Arena

    Game Notes:

    - Nashville was shut out last game, but comes in winning 5 of their last 6, including 3 straight against CHI, DET, and TOR.
    - Nashville is a bit banged up at the moment, with injuries to Rinne, Weber, Forsberg, and Hornqvist.
    - Flyers are playing the second of a back-to-back tonight, coming off of a 2-1 win over WPG at home.
    - Flyers were 6-6 on the PK yesterday, perfect for only the 3rd time in the last 10 games on the PK.
    - Flyers PP was unable to score a goal for the first time in 8 games; a bit deceiving of a stat, considering how horrid the PP has looked at times over that stretch.
    - Emery is expected to start in net for the Flyers after Mason played yesterday.
    - Flyers are just 0-2-1-1 at NSH since 2000, but are 3-1-0-1 overall in their last 5 games against the Preds.

Mason gets the start. First back-to-back starts for Mase as a Flyer.

Lets hope the Flyers give him a full 60 minute effort.

The most exciting thing about this game for me is finally seeing Seth Jones play.

Saw him play in juniors but ive had this game circled on the calendar as well. Kid is such a stud. Playing as many minutes as he is at his age is ridiculous.

the interesting topic, is there IS a point of star-status the kid could develop to makes Weber expendable. The forwards and cap relief they would get in return would be insane

will he get to that point?

I have no doubt that he will.

makes me sick that Mason was not mentioned with the early Vezina favorites by NHL.com

he should be ON TOP of the list. AND a lot of people need to apologize to Homer for the Bob trade judgements

To be honest, it's hard to argue. All three of those goalies have been stellar. Especially Harding and Rask.
