    David Akers

Ok, this guy is making me nervous and starting to piss me off. He missed 3 field goals against the cardinals, missed a chip shot yesterday, and a few others throughout the season. My main concern is leaving a game tying field goal or game winning field goal in the playoffs. These misses are gonna be in his head if that situation occurs. Do you guys share the same feeling?!

Honestly the only team I can see Akers being a factor in the game is if we play Dallas in the playoffs some how if we play SF or Seattle or New Orleans or Carolina I dont think the games will be close eith we will blow them out or get blown out.

I understand your logic and where your coming from, however I personally don't see blowout either way no matter who we face. Kickers usually play a big roll in the playoffs. But obviously this is just hypothetical. Bottom line is though, Akers is a huge question mark.

I'm not sure if he sucks or we've just been spoiled by Hanson for so many years, but he definitely makes me nervous every time he lines up.

He needs to go. I was on board keeping him initially because of his leg strength but clearly he isn't over the hip injury. If he is then he just sucks. Either way time to find another kicker.

Just the way the lions are, the way they play and how they find just stupid ways to lose, I can totally see us playing a really good team and being a field goal away from winning and this guy missing a 25 yard field goal. I hate saying it, but that would for sure be a way we would lose. I don't have an answer for it either. But I just wanted to see what everyone else felt.

We should have given Hanson more money to stay. I remember someone getting ridiculed back in the Summer for saying that.

If we are trying out kickers then I highly doubt we are really backing Akers.

If we were really backing akers, then we wouldn't have faked that field goal last week...
