He is one of three starters penciled in along with Wheeler and my boy, Dillon Gee.

At this point keep, but I'm open to trading just about anyone not named Wright or Harvey.

Any chance we can limit these threads to the players there are actual questions about?

His voice lacks the range of tonal color necessary to make it consistently interesting. Full time consideration of another endeavor might be in order."

Harvey was really the only no-brainer, so no.

I'm back and forth on this one. On one hand I love Niese and think he should be in the middle of our rotation for years to come, and on the other hand I think that he has a great contract and has more value on the trade market than to us. Niese could net us a high quality bat. It's not an easy decision, but one that depends on what is available.

I voted keep cause I would rather see what he could get for Gee. I definitely don't want to trade any of our young arms Harvey, Wheeler, Noah or Montero to get a bat so if we need to use Niese then I would.

You keep him unless some team makes it worth the Mets while to trade him.

Like everyone else on the roster including Harvey.

    Who else ya got?

If he can be used for a big ticket bat, then Sandy has my blessings.

Same, but I'll say keep with an asterisk.

Trade if possible. I really think Niese is overrated.

Do you feel the same way about Nephew?

    Jon Niese

Niese is worth discussing because he would have good value in a trade. He is on a team friendly deal and throws with his left arm. Still young too.

I want to keep him. He is our only lefty and has been reliable. This answer might change once we see what these young guys being to the table and Harvey returns. But for now he isn't really expendable.

Very fluky pitcher for us... Any other team he would be a #4. Not a quality left, but a solid one I say keep.
