Remember all the rumors that Kahn like Kanter more than Williams going into that draft? Why did he either not find a way to trade down and take Kanter, or just take Kanter at 2?

The highest pick in franchise history....wasted.

From a Sacto perspective, the talented Derrick Williams who always looks for his own shot, and tries to force things should fit in very well with Demarcus Cousins and Isaiah Thomas...

that is a straight up trade?

    meh, garbage for garbage. Cool...

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

Wolves save about 2.3 mill from this trade for next year. I don't think it is really a cap move at all though, the team is still set to be over the cap for next year.

At least Moute is someone who can provide 15ish minutes on a nightly basis, unlike Williams. We get better with this trade, albeit pretty minimally better. A deeper bench is what this team needs though, and Moute definitely helps that need.

let Moute show it then. He is not that good.

Not that excited, but i guess we have one more option now. Defensive specialist with no shot is better than nothing

    Wolves United

So moute has questinable health already.
    And then you add
    wolves to that health equation.

is like summoning for rain if you ask me.

Should ahve traded Williams last year with the highest value.

Still think more could have been gotten.

No way more could have been gotten. Williams has been on the block since the end of the season last year, and it has taken so long for the Wolves to finally trade him because they were not getting any interest for him.

If I were a Sacto fan, I would be excited in the same way Wolves fans were when we landed Beasley for cheap.

Pretty little risk involved from Sacto, much like there was when the Wolves traded for Beasley. Big upside for Williams, but at the time has shown close to nothing in over two years in the NBA.

Pretty awful trade, has Moute even played this year?

As ordinary as Williams has been and as much as he has deserved the critisism, Kings win this trade. Williams is better than the chances/minutes he was given here. IMO Cunningham did nothing this year to earn minutes over D-Will. You can't play a guy for 5 minutes every three games and expect any consistancy from him. Whilst I understand why we had to trade him, we've done it at a time where his value has never been lower.

Good luck to D-Will in Sactown.

Got to say I don't like this trade. I don't know how this Luc Mbah a Moute is, but in my head, Williams seems better if we just let him play the way he used to play. Kings will get a good player in Williams if they allow him to play his game.

Williams game is isolation and forcing shots. If Williams has success, it will be because he changed his game
