    Peyton Manning's legacy

The talk at work all day has been about last nights game and Manning. The nation turned in to watch Manning play up to all the talk against him.

He cant win big games against top teams.

He cant beat Brady and the Pats.

He cant play in cold weather.

When does he accept that his glory days are behind him and the winning records are hollow? Do you think he is at home lying to himself and does he honestly think he has any shot what so ever of a SB?

If your the Broncos FO do you change directions and have that heart to heart with him? Tell him "Peyton we all know you are not the future and lets be honest you are not going to lead us to the promise land. We want you to spend the rest of your time here to train and try and build Brock to take over".

Does Manning come back down to earth and retire or does he continue to lie to himself?

    Me and my Boy.
    No halo.

Once he's not playing at the elite level he is. He's playing historically well, but you can tell there's a change in physical ability.

The Broncos wouldn't be much without him Sorry Denver fans.

    ^ That.

The only way I could see him retiring after this year is after a SB win or a big injury. After next year the chances are going to increase.

True but are the Broncos dumb and prolonging the rebuild or new direction by not changing thought pattern?

I don't think so. They want a SB and Peyton is their best chance at the moment. Alex Smith was the next best thing, and....

Their team is good enough for Peyton to win it all, but I just don't think they will. They're not in need of a rebuild after Peyton is gone. I don't think Osweiler is the answer either.

All Peyton has done this year is lead one of the best offenses the NFL has ever seen. He should totally retire though, good call.

    Yeahhhhh I don't think that's what he's getting at.

I think (emphasis on think) he's saying Peyton is essentially setting them up for a big run just to lose. By doing that, they're getting a worse draft pick and not giving reps and opportunities to QBs that could help them in the future (Osweiler and __?).

Unbelievable. He is still on pace for the greatest season a QB has ever had! Somehow losing one game negates all that?

When he is no longer a top 10 in yards, TDs, comp% and/or QB rating he should think about hanging it up. Until that time, $20 mil a year and a bunch of Papa Johns pizza's sounds pretty good.

I'd take my chances and roll with Peyton.
To some, he was just a boy. A boy who played football, a football player that grew to be a man. A man that took over a city, a city that he made his own, a city that stands behind him in hopes of becoming one of that cities all-time greats. To some, 2013 was a fluke. To some, he can't do it again. To some, he got lucky.

To us though, to the Philly faithful, that QB is Nick Foles. To us, that's our QB.

Manning is the second best QB in this league, second to only Russell Wilson.

    PSD's Shane Vereen.
