Who Will End up being the biggest bust of the big contracts?

    Cano
    Mccann
    Ellsbury

So whom will make their team regret their signing the most both long term and in the immediate future??

What was meant for me will be Mine once again... THE CHAMP OF CHAMPS IS BACK

I'm thinking Ellsbury. Not a particularly high OBP guy and his best skills are the ones most likely to start eroding at his age.

I think Ellsbury as well, but choo should be added as he will likely cash in as well.

    Cano or Ellsbury.

I think McCann will probably be a decent buy.

Just depends what each player ends up getting.

Cano. He has a reputation for being lazy, and if he gets a huge long-term contract with a team outside the NY media glare, I can totally see him phoning it in.

    McCann

The catcher is always the most likely guy to get injured. A significant injury=bust.

I do think Ellsbury is going to get a CC kind of deal, and that smells like an overpay to me.

Ellsbury misses too much time. Anything longer than 4 years for him is an overpay.

McCann has had a couple injuries, but going to the AL will help him stay in the batters box.

    D. all of the above

6/27/09: “We expect [Rondo] to play by the rules and be a leader as a point guard. We need him to be more of a leader,” Ainge said. “There were just a couple situations where he was late this year, I don’t know if he was sitting in his car, but showed up late and the rest of the team was there. We have team rules and you have to be on time. He was fined for being late, he said he was stuck in traffic, and it’s just unacceptable.”

It's hard to say since non of them have signed yet but if Cano signs for 8+ years, it's another massive A-Rod/Fielder/Pujols long term mistake, Version 4. I hope he stays in New York for that reason alone.

But as Bags said, non of the above will be worth the money TBH.

    Ellsbury.
    Favourite Teams:

Boston Red Sox: 49-62, games this week vs. Cardinals (3), Angels (3)
Indianapolis Colts: Good draft and off-season so far.
Looking for new NBA team to cheer for
Ottawa Senators: 37-31-14, season over, free agency begins this week.

Cano pretty easily, just because some team is going to end up signing him into his 40's.

McCann will command the least but I think he'll decline faster then the other two

I think Ellsbury. Speed will decline and I don't see him get into a DH role.
