IGT: Philadelphia Flyers at Winnipeg Jets

    Time: 8:00pm
    Place: MTS Centre

    Game Notes:

    - Both teams come in to this game on 3 game winning streaks
    - Mason and Pavelec will start in goal
    - Little and Ladd come into this game hot for the Jets; Evander Kane has struggled as of late
    - B. Schenn and Voracek come into this game hot for the Flyers
    - Flyers finishing off a 3 games in 4 nights string that included a lot of travel
    - These games tend to be high-scoring or filled with weird, funky goals

If the team can come out tonight after an emotional win and play smart, sound, 60 minute hockey; I'll say this team has finally turned a corner.

Gotta get this game tonight. I think Downie gets his first since the trade.

Anyone have the lineup for tonight yet? I really wish Dish and Comcast would kiss each others ***** so I could watch more games.

Expected to be the same. Raffl is better but Chief said he needs to skate to get his legs back under him so I wouldnt expect him to play.

Mason in net as i said

I remember walking out of a PA bar when the flyers were down by 4? goals late in the 3rd against Winnipeg. Heard the place get loud from the parking lot and ran back in, and they were down by 1.

At least when Lavy was in town, you just never know with Winnipeg. I think they just knew how to manipulate Bryz for weird goals. The crowd there definitely made it their mission to get in his head.

Hopefully Berube and Mason will end all of this

Jets playing with a ton of pressure. 3 man pressure forecheck. Lots of open ice out there

I love Rinaldo on the PK. I think the purpose is to have him be a fulltime penalty killer in the near future that way they can remove G from the PK.

This is going to be a tough game to win. All the travel and timezone switching and what not. I don't normally make those excuses, but 3 games in 4 nights from Ottawa to Pittsburgh to Winnipeg is insane.

man it does not take much pressure to make the Jets fold up and make stupid decisions in their zone

They really haven't done a good job in their own zone....Pavlec has gotten hung out to dry a few times already...the only thing saving the Jets has been bad bounces and a pair of Flyer misses.

Berube has to be loving this. He preached and preached that these opportunistic goals will come once the players buy in.

Nice play by Simmonds. Nice job by the whole unit.

their PK strategy is making our PP look elite. I have no idea why a single team in this league would even consider playing off coverage/no pressure PK. MY god does it allow countless scoring chances
