Report: Arod failed an unreported drug test back in '06.

Sorry that I can not posted a link because I'm on my phone, but I just saw that there's a report out there from the New York Times that says Arod failed another drug test back in 2006. If anyone could post the link, that would be great.

Not for PEDs, for stimulants, and there is a difference.

Among the notable new details is the fact that, according to “two people involved with baseball’s collectively bargained drug-testing program,” Rodriguez tested positive for a banned stimulant in 2006.

Assuming Rodriguez did indeed test positive for stimulants in 2006, that’s actually just a footnote among all the rest of the cloak-and-dagger absurdity detailed by the Times. Stimulants are considered separate from performance enhancing drugs under the Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, with a separate schedule of discipline which requires no suspension or public announcement following a first positive test such as Rodriguez’s in 2006.

Instead, a first positive test for simulants triggers a series of subsequent tests over the following year. Given that A-Rod was never suspended for stimulants, it is safe to assume he passed those tests. Even if Rodriguez was a chronic user of banned stimulants, this case would not have built to such an extreme.

Hell, if stimulants were in full question, most players since 1950 were popping them like candy before games. Though they called them greenies back then.

If it was anyone other than A-Rod, we never would have heard about it. I'm not the biggest A-Rod fan in the world, but it seems like every speck of dirt on this guy shows up in the media.

    And Clowns.
    And Firemen.
    And Strippers.
    And Moses.
A Clown, A Firemen and Moses walked into a strip club. The stripper asks, hey we all come here to get our uppers from Arod but I never asked why you guys use them.
Clown says, "Making kids laugh is a pain in the azz. I need uppers to keep happy".
Fireman says, "I have to be up all night putting out fires. If I don't have a pick me up, people will be in danger."
Moses says, "Me? I've been taking them before Christ was born. They are the only way to get shite done. No way I climb that mountain, part that sea, turn water to wine or any of that Biblical craziness without them".
Stripper, "I thought Jesus turned water into wine?"
Moses, "I don't pay you think. Now shut up and dance, slide down that pole before Moses has to slap a ho'.

I believe there has been considerable legislation which now limits the number of hours truckers can spend on the road so that they do not become tired, dangerous, and forced to take stimulants. So, people absolutely do care.

For Christ sake coffee is a stimulant. Millions of people take them. I was just getting my point across. I'm well aware of the legislation as its been that way for a long time. Who cares that he took a stimulant. Seriously. It's dumb.

Okay, I'm reading this thread, drinking bourbon, popped a few pills, and thinking about all my childhood heroes like Mickey Mantle who lived on greenies and booze.
Now, I think I'll get on my high horse about A-Rod.
