Tim Hardaway hit 5-of-8 shots and two 3-pointers for 14 points in 15 minutes on Wednesday.
This is simply an FYI for deep-league owners, who may want to put Hardaway on their radar. He also played 25 minutes on Sunday and with all the injuries in New York, could continue to get solid run going forward.
Metta World Peace came off the bench for just four points and one rebound in 21 minutes of Wednesday's win over the Hawks.
We were expecting more from MWP when Tyson Chandler went down, but he still hasn't had a breakout game. And as long as he's coming off the bench and playing defense, it may not ever come.
J.R. Smith started at shooting guard on Wednesday and had 12 points, seven rebounds, a steal and three 3-pointers on 4-of-10 shooting.
He's still rusty after the knee surgery, but should get better as time goes by, and being in the starting five for the Knicks isn't going to hurt, either.
Andrea Bargnani had 20 points, 11 rebounds, a block and two 3-pointers on 8-of-15 shooting in Wednesday's win over the Hawks.
The Hawks aren't traditionally strong against opposing centers, but then again, Bargnani's not exactly a typical starting center. The 11 rebounds are pretty shocking, as the last time he had at least 10 in a game (and double-doubled) was Jan. 11, 2012. Don't expect this kind of line out of Bargnani again this season, but his scoring and production should be solid for the depleted Knicks as long as Tyson Chandler is sidelined.
