Woodson intimated to a close friend that he is thinking of a secondary lineup change if the JR Smith experiment fails. Word around MSG is that Dolan has given Woodson an ultimatum and the clock is officially ticking on Woodson's time as Knicks' head coach. Ironically, Woodson became the head coach under similar circumstances when he was assistant of then coach Mike D'Antoni.
Woodson plans to use the Leprechaun from Lucky Charms cereal in his lineup. He believes that what has been missing from the starting lineup has been good fortune. The Leprechaun's magic symbols are tried and true symbols of good luck. The source quoted Woodson as saying, "You know, I've always kind of liked the little guy." Woodson believes that even though he would be a rookie, the Leprechaun would have luck on his side. "How can you go wrong with all that luck on your side?"
Although unorthodox, Woodson has shown that in desperate times that he is willing to do and try almost anything. But, if the Leprechaun does not work, you can be sure that the luck has run out of Woodson's career as Knicks' coach because Dolan is demanding wins.
