Manningham just back, Patton and Crabs still recovering, yet Williams was expendable, can we now ALL agree he's just not that good?

VD and Celek hurt. With Moody taking the KW spot, I'm hoping we see a gameplan that utilizes WRs. I know that's not considered the teams forte so to speak, but the multiple TE stuff just isn't working. Granted the run game has been effective in spots this yr, but there have also been a lot of negative plays. With the injuries this is their shot...kind of by default...to see if Kap can run a standard offense.

Definitely pushes Baldwin up the charts for a few weeks.

    There is a god...

Sometimes you just have to cut the fat... the players that don't make plays but can cost you a game. Kyle Williams was #1 on that list.
2012 World Series Champs Auto Checklist: Jeremy Affeldt, Javier Lopez (2), Ryan Vogelsong, George Kontos (2), Buster Posey, Brian Sabean, Bruce Bochy, Brandon Crawford, Sergio Romo, Barry Zito...

Think it's safe to say you know I feel. He was never utilized correctly.

Now hopefully he'll go to another team, throw up Ginn type numbers and Hamburger will buy me a steak

He really wasn't. He was lousy as an outside guy...but that's how the continued to use him. It's like lining LMJ up at FB and being pissed because he's a bad blocker.

Agreed. Too bad. As great as JH can be sometimes, I think he can be equally as bad. I wish KW the best of luck somewhere else.

You guys realize that he had his best year Harbaughs first year and that still wasn't a good year. The things done with him this year aren't applicable over his entire career, he's a guy who can only play the slot and isn't spectacular at anything, you can find that kind of player in the 5th to 7th round in every draft.

I'm not saying he was a key cog...I'm just saying he could have been more effective for the team if he had been used in a way that fit his skill set.

He has been at times, it all just comes back to the fact that he just doesn't fit the team style to me. If he had overwhelming slot ability like Weller or Harvin then you get him involved, but he's just nothing spectacular so he's easily dimissable. If the same thing happens with Patton then there's an issue.
