    GM Meetings

    Hey guys,

I am not a Mod or anything and I dont usually start threads but with the GM Meetings starting today I would think starting a GM Meetings thread might be a good idea? Rumors, News, who we are talking to at the meetings...

    ■ Cubs president Theo Epstein may be ready to pounce on major free agents. While 2015 is still seen as the launching point for the Cubs’ future as a contender, there may be pieces Epstein could pick off ahead of time. Would he, for instance, be interested in Ellsbury or Choo?

Consider the source. Nick Cafardo is a damn moron and not credible. He is still critical of the Sox for getting rid of Bobby Valentine. As for the Cubs off season, Epstein is on record saying not to expect any splurges

It's just the GM meetings not the winter meetings. A lot of talk and frameworks being set but don't expect any action until the Winter meetings.
