I say McCown, he has showed he is a great backup for you guys and can come in and produce. Could have even been a different game if he played the whole second half.

I don't know how you can say Mccown he didn't even play that much...

Marshall and Wootten! Wootten had some good pressure today.

Conte. He tipped a pass in the 2nd quarter. He knocked down a TD pass and got a pick and brought it to the 10 so the offense could score.

In other news Major Wright is still ****.

But Conte's missed tackle on Bush lead to a TD.

That doesn't change that he had a great game. That type of thinking is akin to something like "Jay had a great game with 300 yards passing, 3 TDs, but he threw a pick 6, so he had a bad game." It's silly (and ignores that he was the last man to stop Bush after 10 other players missed tackling him).

Yeah w/o that play on Calvin and the pick we lose worse. He's definitely a better player that Wright IMO. It shouldn't be all on him to stop the run. It is the LBs job to not over pursue.

Except for the fact that Conte wasn't the last one to stop Bush, Tillman was.

And when it comes to being an MVP, IMO you can't cost us a critical play. That is the way I view MVPs.

Even more, an argument can be made that on the last TD to CJ, Conte wasn't over the top. But none of us know the defensive call on that one. Point is, its not "silly" to think that. What is so hard about disagreeing without insulting.

    Week 10 MVP?

I'm not gonna comment on who was the MVP, but trestman laid an egg today. Bad bad coaching all around

Ehh, I dunno that he's a better player than Wright necessarily. He did have a better game, though.

And absolutely on the overpursuing part. Jon Bostic pushed past his gap, and Khaseem got wrapped up by the OG or OC (don't remember which) and couldn't break the block put on him for being out of position.

Conte's the last line of defense there vs. someone who's really, really good in open space. Nothing is going to make me say that him missing that tackle is the reason Bush scored.

I mainly say it because if the coach didnt know last week the he could handle playing QB solid for the game he should have seen the last drive he can. He took the Bears down and scored for them with the game on the line and only needed a 2 point conversion to send it to OT. Sometimes its the little things that can be important. And no, I am not saying Cutler sucks.
