Uh yeah. I am sure Dwight is tired of all the questions about his decision and is going to dominate. His new teammates will want to prove he made a good decision and will play all out. Lakers are horrible on the road so far being blown out both times already. Their defense is a joke and they have a bunch of young guys who don't know how to play on the road. Most the guys on the team last year are not on the team this year so they don't have extra incentive to stick it to Dwight. The only guy that holds grudges and would play great is in a suit. I say 129-101 Rockets
I'm not feeling good about this at all considering it's IN Miami and off a B2B. I predict a 10-12 point loss sadly. No doubt we CAN win...but our team hasn't shown it has the mental fortitude to deal with things like handling business vs lesser teams, playing with energy for road games on B2B etc. We still have yet to have a game where we defend at a high level which is very troublesome.
Maybe us going on a 4-5 game losing streak here and getting mentally broken will toughen up the team long term? I'd much rather us get our heartbreaks now, peak late in the season. Rather than what happened last year where the first 2+ months we dominate.. then the last 2-3 months are a .500 team and get waxed come playoff time.
Pre-game the NBA team was talking about the Clippers' starting 5's weakness at the wings. This game (facing LeBron and Wade) will be an excellent test of how important that is. They WON'T slow them down, much less stop them. The question will be; can they overcome that handicap elsewhere?
Meawhile, the Heat got off to their typical-this season super slow start (9-0). So we saw the Clippers' getting off to their hoped for up-tempo off-to-the-races start. But the Heat weathered that.
I`m not sure if Clips can keep fouling LeBron and remain competitive. No one can guard him right now.
Barnes injury is particularly devastating right now... because he's the only guy who can even SOMEWHAT guard Lebron. Having slow Dudley and a bunch of SG's isn't going to do jack sh**. I think we need to let Lebron get 40 and lock everybody else down.
