i think they can definitely win 45 games but if any of the starters (not named Amir) suffer a serious injury (40+ games) the season will go down the toilet, and fast. our bench is that weak.

What will the teams record be?

    Two Part answer:

    If finish Nov+Dec above .500 then: 44-38
    If finish Nov+Dec below .500 then: 35-47

Who will lead the team in points?

    Derozan - Spacing

Who will be the team's MVP this year?

    Rudy Gay - Versatility

Who will lead the team in PER?

Lowry - rebounds well for a guard + contract year

Will Masai dismantle the team before the deadline?

If finish Nov+Dec above .500 then: No - Probability: 45%
If finish Nov+Dec below .500 then: Yes - Probability: 55%

Feel free to post your own prediction question and answer it as well!

Does expected win total for the year = playoffs?

    (44)(.45) + (35)(.55) = 39.05 wins.

Last year Milwaukee came 8th with 38 wins

    39.05 > 38
    Therefore expectations = 8th seed + playoffs.

    I like the detailed answer.

    My answers:

Dare I be optimistic and say this team wins 47 games? A relatively healthy Raptor's team can in my opinion.

I got Lowry as leader in PER (he has excelled at times in this category and in a contract year, I expect him to put up numbers).

I got Amir as MVP - Defensive anchor, heart an sole role player among a group of uncertainties. He is the biggest constant year to year.

I have DD leading the team in scoring. But it will be close between him and Gay.

Toronto teams always seem to do well when the pressure is off. I'm thinking playoffs.

Team leader in points: Derozan - 21.3
    Team MVP: Rudy Gay
PER? Don't know what that is.
    No to dismantling.
I'm going with 45 wins and the 7th seed.

It's not out of the question that we can win 47 games this year. If teams continue to disrespect us we can catch a few by surprise. It's all about the start if we come out strong then we have a good chance of reaching that win mark.

I was thinking of Amir as MVP as well but I think he might be our most important player instead. I guess you can argue that those are the same but I'd say that he's the glue that this starting team needs. tThe hustle, the guy that doesn't need the ball but can do a little bit of everything.

I think it will be close between him and Gay also. If both of them can up there FG% then I could realistically see both of them averaging around 20+PPG this season.

Start off poorly, posters start to blame one player for the team sucking, we end up picking 11th in the draft

What will the teams record be?

    30 wins

Who will lead the team in points?

    Demar

Who will be the team's MVP this year?

    Demar

Who will lead the team in PER?

Tyler - he fills the stats sheet quite nicely and he'll eventually replace Amir as a starter.

Will Masai dismantle the team before the deadline?

Yes - come new years you'll see wholesale changes (I hope).

It all depends on whether this group learns to play together. If we start seeing Lowry, DeRozan and Gay all trying to play ISO ball, this season will start reeling very quickly. It is tough to be optimistic after the way the team started last year. Even towards the end, there were plenty of times when the top scoring options failed to recognize the "right basketball play." This group has players that can create, but understanding when to pass, and when to shoot will be pivotal. But I do think our starting 5 has the raw talent to be very good. We'll see how they go about sharing the ball.

Since we are not a deep team at all, health is also a huge factor.

    Team Record - 42-45 wins
Lead in Points - DD (only if Gay is traded by the deadline), Gay if he's around the whole season
    Team MVP - Val
Per - Lowry (again if he's around past the deadline) Amir if Lowry's gone.
Dismantle - I think it will depend on where we are record wise. If we are in the hunt, I think you may see him move 1 or 2 pieces to get multiple pieces - not a complete dismantle. If we are not in the hunt, let the axe swinging begin!

I am cautiously optimistic about this team going into the season. I think that we have an opportunity to finish anywhere from 5-8th seed if everyone can stay healthy and play at their career normals/potentials. If we get off to a slow start again, I don't think MU will wait long to start dismantling the team and moving pieces to get multiple assets for moving forward.

Pretty good predictions. Except for Rudy being MVP, agree with your predictions.
