I think all of you will be pleasantly surprised to see that most of our players were holding back in the preseason.

You're able to draw this inference from what. From what I saw, they played hard and bad in the preseason. Especially vs Charlotte

We looked solid in the first half. The second half I had no clue what we were doing. It will come.

As for against the Bucks, they really are a different team from last year. They can be annoying defensively but their offense is non existent. Should be an interesting season opener. Tyson needs to keep Sanders in check ad we should be okay.

Uh, so they call you a Psycho?

I think you saw in the first half of the Charlotte game, that the team was tuned up. We easily took care of them. In the second half, the gas came off the pedal and Charlotte came back.

On top of that, Woodson was on a mission to give everyone that might get minutes some tune-up time and the substitutions/combinations were pretty much all over the place.

Unless the game is a blowout, I think you will see a shorter rotation of 9-10 players max.

I am hoping for a blowout win, but I would settle for a convincing win. Then a showdown in Chicago.

With JR out 5 games , Murray will dress is my guess, I wish we didn't have such a log jam at PG, I'd love to develop this kid, maybe a few minutes each game. But as it is Udrih going to be lucky to get on the court.

sitting out JR, Chris and Cole, my guess at this point.

Agree totally... Melo barely drove to the basket at all.. Felton was rusty and did not play a whole lot.... some guys did not play until last game.

It is a veteran team working on certain things.. not worried about winning preseason games!

The only thing right now that concerns me is Coach.......he has such depth on this team, and he has consistantly shown(last season) a slow trigger to make in game decisions and make changes when needed.

....BUT I can't wait to get this going!!!!

WORST COACH IN THE NBA!!!!! HOPEFULLY HAILING A CAB OUT OF THE CITY!!!

So that's why the Knicks kept Chris Smith! To keep JR company during his 5 game suspension!

    Welcome back Still.

On a serious note, I don't think the end of the bench is going to matter much except in garbage time.

And once this team hits stretches where everything is clicking, we will be unstoppable.

I think (in no particular order):

    1. Melo will be Melo ( at least as good as last year but not having to take as many shots or work as hard)
    2. Bargnani will prove himself a valuable part of the team.
    3. Shump will make a significant step up in level of play.
    4. We will approach (and perhaps exceed) 60 wins.
    5. We will be on the good side of a good number of blowouts.
    6. Chris Smith will be collecting unemployment.
    7. Amare will be healthy for the year and will be more productive than anyone expects.

    And my most shocking prediction:
    7. JR will get traded before the deadline because of the combination of Shump/THjr/Murry.
