Danny Granger's strained left calf is worse than originally thought and he's unlikely for the opener on Wednesday, according to coach Frank Vogel.
Lance Stephenson is expected to draw the start against the Hornets. Granger strained his calf in back-to-back games last week and it sounds like the Pacers are going to be extremely cautious. What's more, the team was also expected to ease him into his role after knee issues kept him to only five games last year. He's looking like he's more trouble than he's worth in most fantasy formats.
This just screams to me that he is not in game shape, especially with Vogel saying it's worse than they originally thought.
I saw that it was originally the first 2 games....and now is 3 weeks.
I really hope they don't try and bring him back to the starting lineup if/when he does come back. Let him come off the bench and get his limited minutes from there. I'm just worried that they will go forward thinking that Lance is just holding down DGs spot until he comes back instead of it being Lance's starting job as long as he can improve on last year.
