Well with all the revenue MLB is making, the amount of national tv money that will increase in dispersal in subsequent seasons, regional tv contracts, and growing market sizes, it doesn't surprise me.

The regional networks that broadcast these teams have grown exponentially as assets and will continue to do so.

Like the Mets for example, the team itself has been valued at over 850 million dollars, meanwhile SNY is worth close to 1.2 billion.

surprised the O's topped a billion. That playoff run last year did them well. They were only worth 700 mill a few years back.

    Angelos should sell high.

Good to see, given all the talk going around that the MLB is in some kind of downturn. Yeah some teams are in trouble but overall the MLB is mostly healthy.
    Favourite Teams:

Boston Red Sox: 60-76, games this week vs. Rays (1), Yankees (3), Blue Jays (3)
Indianapolis Colts: Good draft and off-season so far.
Looking for new NBA team to cheer for
Ottawa Senators: 37-31-14, season over, free agency begins this week.

Those TV deals are cash cows. It's an advantage the MLB will easily be able to continue to exploit, even if tv viewership continues to dip less and less below the NBA and NFL. So many games. So much money to be made

Anybody who would sell a MLB Franchise now would be silly, that bubble won't burst for at least another 20 years.

Didn't they make a run for Prince Fielder two years ago?

    And Mark Tex

And now they have Chris Davis.

Being cheap isn't the issue in Baltimore.
