It's such BS.
It's such BS.
This is why I have hated the Buffalo Sabres my whole life. Even more so than Montreal, Toronto, Pittsburgh, etc.
This is what the Sabres are all about. The fact that they put this giant pylon of a player on the ice is a demonstration of the fact that they are the league's worst franchise. Seriously, the Florida Panthers have way more talent if you really look at it.
This is a team with no future, no present, and no chance at competing with any team in the league. So to compensate, they play these giant talentless guys like Scott and go around targeting other team's best players (look at the Kessel incident a week or two ago).
The Sabres are trash from top to bottom. The only player worth a damn on that team is Thomas Vanek, and when he leaves, anything good to do with the Sabres goes with him.

Awful. John Scott should be gone from this league. What also ticks me off is Teams continue start guys Like John Scott who have 5 career Pts in his career & done nothing to help their team but except hurting players for their enjoyment. Its really sickening.
FIGHT OWENS FIGHTPOWER. BOMB. EVERYBODY.
Didn't get to catch the game last night but I saw the highlights and I couldn't believe the elbow. What an absolute cheap move by Scott and I'm glad the league suspended him indefinitely. You really hope this is not something that will keep Eriksson off the ice for long and hopefully he recovers quickly.
Can we get our **** together please?
What I think the league needs to do is come together and create a solution to situations like this.
Perhaps have the team associated with the guilty player lose a draft pick to the affected team? Especially if that player is to miss significant time (they could always work out a definition for "significant time") or if it's season ending.
Yeah I doubt it would happen as well. Just throwing out some ideas lol. Just for discussions sake though, I doubt it would ever be agreed on for a first overall pick. It would have to be something lower but they could always judge the # of the pick based on the player's value...create a system sort of like they have in baseball in how to determine if a player is a Type A or B free agent.
We would have had to give up something big in 2000 with Marty McSorley! But I think Scott should be banned from hockey for life and the coach should be suspended for a minimum of 30 days and a heavy fine.
I think like in the McSorley case, Scott should have assault charges pressed against him and he should do some time in jail.
I don't get how this hit was revenge or connected to the Miller hit. Wasn't that over when Gaustad fought Lucic? When Thornton fought Scott? Get over it!
