Trade interest in Derozan very high around league

A similar dramatic and unforeseen deal may not take place this season, but itís not because GMs are ignoring calls or refusing to make some themselves. While the noise isnít as intense at this time of year, the potential for trades certainly exists.

Among the names generating whispers by NBA insiders as possible pre-regular season (or early regular season) trade bait: Sacramento Kings guard Jimmer Fredette, everyone who plays for the Philadelphia 76ers except rookies Nerlens Noel (injured) and Michael Carter-Williams, and especially, Houston center Omer Asik.

One GM told FOX Sports Ohio there is also strong league-wide interest in Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan -- but seemingly nothing that would entice DeRozanís current employer to take the plunge.

Derozan is looking poised for a breakout year, fans aren't the only ones seeing this. Good to hear though.

If he adds a 3 point shot to his already good/improving post game, he's bound to make a big leap.

    IMO, possible MIP candidate.

    Best wishes DeRozan.

With Sixers making everyone available, I want Young.

I've heard the same thing for like 3 offseasons. How Derozan's jumpshot is getting better and how he's poised to make a big improvement yet it never materializes during the season. I'll believe he'll make a big leap when I see it.

Not sure Sixers would take fields, I think they want to dump a good portion of Young's salary.

I Would consider offering the Knick's 2016 pick in a deal, if necessary. Don't think you would find a better mid-late lotto option than Young.

    A bench of

    -Daye/Gray
    Acy
    Young
    Ross
    -Stone/Buycks

it was last year when people here thought otherwise

Derozan's body language is looking great. He's oozing with confidence and its reflective through his play. You can see the guy wants to win

Its because before being drafted everyone said it'd take about 3-5 years before he truly lives up to his potential.
We did the growing for other teams, so we should be asking for a ton. Our fans may not respect Dero as much as people do league wide. He can net us a **** ton and if we really want one of the top lotto picks we can easily get it this year.

BC was unfairly criticized here and ya I went there. But I don't wanna get this thread of track.
Long story short if they never pressured him he was starting to rebuild this club the right way.

IMO Sixers SF version of Amir,

Read he was working on his 3 point shot this off season. Stretch 3/4 off the bench who could spot start as a potential stretch 4, allowing Amir to backup the centre position, if needed.

Acy, Young, Ross would be a versatile, athletic bench unit.
