I was searching for a thread based solely on this, but couldn't find one.
We all hope that Kubiak is gone after this season. If the head office has any clue they would get rid of him as soon as the season is over. We're 2-5 with basically a rookie QB (who outplayed Schaub this Sunday), Cushing done for the year again, and a lot more issues with our O-Line and Secondary (our constant man coverage sucks).
Keenum should get his chance to play the rest of the season and see what he has. Hopefully with a new coach, he will decide who he wants as QB for next season, whether Keenum shows he has something (Romo like) or the new coach drafts the QB he wants out of the draft. I don't like the talks of drafting a QB that fits our system now because a new coach will hopefully mean a new system and we need that as well because our offence is embarrassingly predictable.
What are everyone's thoughts on who the Texans should hire as coach for 2014 and so on. Are we going to pull from current coaches/coordinators, go for someone out of work now or maybe a collegiate coach? I can't see any coaches not wanting this job with all the talent that is on this team. Who does PSD think is the best option, or who do we want?
Just looking around the internet the names I saw were Charlie Strong (Louisville), David Shaw (Stanford), Kevin Sumlin (A&M), the Chiefs DC and Kyle Shanahan. None of them are really too exciting to me tbh but all would be a refreshing change from Kubiak
