Your New York Knicks!
Frank White / Iman Shumpert / Carmelo Anthony / Pasta / Tyson Chandler
Kyle Lowry / Demar Derozan / Rudy Gay / Amir Johnson / Val-achoo-ness
Updating a previous report, Andrea Bargnani (back) will be in uniform for the Knicks on Monday.
Mike Woodson said he wants to experiment more with Bargnani playing center alongside Carmelo Anthony, so don't be surprised to see that lineup for stretches vs. the Raptors. Bargnani's back stiffness shouldn't be a limiting factor in the final countdown to the regular season.Iman Shumpert (elbow) is questionable to play on Monday.
He's day-to-day and said on Thursday that he could have played in a regular season game, so presumably he won't be out much longer. With J.R. Smith hoping to scrimmage this week, Shumpert needs to stay healthy to protect his starting SG job.J.R. Smith will be cleared for contact on Monday and he's expected to participate in his first scrimmage on Tuesday.
Smith has begun full-court drills and the Knicks would love to see him play in their final preseason game on Oct. 25. By appearing in that exhibition, Smith's five-game suspension could start on opening night and he'd be allowed to debut in New York's sixth game, vs. the Spurs on Nov. 10.Raymond Felton (hamstring) will not play on Monday.
The last thing the Knicks need is for Felton to aggravate the injury, turning a day-to-day situation into something more serious. Beno Udrih and Pablo Prigioni will pick up the slack at PG in his absence.Mike Woodson isn't sure whether Kenyon Martin (ankle) will be ready for New York's season opener.
"There's a chance that he can be on the floor practicing next week," Woodson said. "That's our hope. We'll see how all this plays out." K-Mart is "still rehabbing" and given his chronic ailments there's no reason to rely on him for fantasy purposes.
