Kobe Bryant has a new Twitter avatar that deals with recent ESPN rankings
Ever since Kobe Bryant joined the world of Twitter, he has hashed out some quality tweets. Some can be called “subtweets”, which is defined as a tweet that is directed towards someone, but not directly named.
Kobe Bryant also does not like rankings. ESPN ranked the Lakers as being 12th in the Western Conference. Kobe responded with a tweet that said, “12th I see…”
ESPN recently ranked NBA players. Kobe was ranked as being the 25th best player in the league right now. How that is even possible is beyond anyone. ESPN stated that the reason why they placed Kobe at the 25th spot is because of his Achilles injury. That logic flawed since ESPN ranked Derrick Rose in the Top 10 before last season and he was coming off knee surgery. To note, Rose ended up not playing at all last season.
Kobe Bryant went on his Twitter and changed his Twitter avatar icon. He changed it to black text on a white background that said, “1225″.
The whole “1225″ does not stand for Christmas Day. As Eric Pincus of the Los Angeles Times states, “1225″ translates to being in 12th place (the “12″ in 1225) and being ranked 25th place (the “25″ in 1225).
The media just pissed Kobe off. He cannot wait to get back from his Achilles injury and start going on a winning and scoring rampage. Well, Lakers fans can only hope he does that.
