Any Chance Flores Spends Time At LF In Vegas Next Year?

Assuming Flores doesn't get traded, it couldn't hurt for Flores to spend time in LF. He could be good insurance if the Mets don't sign any FA's, and might have a future with this team if he can play there.

Flores is just not an option in LF.

Not sure if the OP's question will be answered yet it is rather annoying another prospect can't find one of nine positions where he can field a baseball. He's taken reps in the OF, 3rd, SS, 2nd and 1st. What is his position? Still trying to figure it out. What a joke
    Done - thank goodness

I don't see why they shouldn't give it a shot. The handful of 1B/3B/OF guys the Cards have all had time in LF

You got that from 95 ABs, most of which he was playing on 2 bum ankles.

    Impressive.

Why not. LF is the easiest position to play. What's to lose.

Other teams move players to different positions all the time. Every time it's suggested here you would think someone recommended impeachment proceedings.

It's because of how slow Flores is and where his offensive value is most important. He's not Duda slow but his range and first step in the OF would be abysmal.

2nd base or bust imo otherwise trade him and find a FA/trade option in LF.

I don't believe he ever played the OF.
    He is slow.
He profiles as a 3B, the problem is that position is taken.

    1. He's too slow
    2. His bat is not good enough
    3. He's a better infielder than outfielder

Flores should only play 3B imo, and he can't do that here. I'm not high on him like some, I see him more as an average regular more than anything. His bat is overrated to me.

Good for them, they're wrong again. Another Mets position prospect that has nowhere to play at this level.

I got that from watching his AB's and the fact he can't play defense anywhere.

His defense is good enough at 3B. Hard to judge him harshly on defense considering he wasn't playing healthy.

This is pretty much par for the course with Mets posi prospects.

They're just not good enough. Flores doesn't have a position, just like Dud doesn't because he can't hit enough to justify playing anywhere, ditto Ike, and Tejada isn't good enough either way.

When was the last well-rounded Mets prospect brought up that is still with the team?
