    Would you want Santana back?

We certainly need another starter. If Santana is healthy going into next season, would you want him back?

Personally, I would only want him back if he felt like he had something to prove, and was willing to come here for less than he could get elsewhere to give back to the fans, since he missed so much playing time while he was here. I think it would be a classy move.

If he was just going for top dollar, I would want no part of it

    He's probably done.

I'd be more concerned with the time spent on him because he's not going to command much money.

Is he worth a flyer, absolutely. But I feel like the Mets would pick him up and stop pursuing other guys in the same boat.

For top dollar, no. If he comes cheap enough, absolutely I would take him. Certainly I'd rather him than Harang or DiceK.

Out of the names I've seen mentioned, the two that intrigue me the most are Josh Johnson and Tim Lincecum. I'd love to see either/or have bounce backs in a Mets uniform. But after them two, Santana is right there on my list.

    No, to many question marks.

For an incentive laden deal with a base salary of around 1 million or 2, sure why not.

Minor League deal with ST invite. IF he accepted that, he'd probably want a clause that if he did not make the 25-man roster out of ST, he could declare free agency.

Bottom line he has to try out, prove himself again.
