We're gonna get swept and might only score 1 run the entire series.

But seriously, this the Red Sox year, we're just in the way.

    Here we go:

Game 1 is gonna be huge. If Anibal can be the regular season Anibal and shut down the Sox, the Tigers will be in good shape. After that, having to face Scherzer and JV in the next two games will be very tough for Boston. Here is another good point: Miggy is having a hard time hitting the ball out of the park, but the Green Monster is going to be very friendly for him. He should have no problem putting a ball hard off the wall, or even clearing it. Also, the Pesky Pole could be nice for him too. I think they are going to win this series in 6. Hopefully Im right this time

I'm so glad that we have 3 amazing starting pitchers on this team. I'm damn sure that Verlander, Scherzer, and Sanchez would be number 1 starters on at least a third of the teams in the league...****, Fister has the stuff to be a number 2 on most teams.

I'm so damn excited about this series. It's going to be very fun to watch. We'll be able to possibly JV twice and Scherzer twice. That means Boston will HAVE to beat Scherzer and JV at least once. More likely they will have to beat one of them twice. Plus it seems like we got lucky...it is lining up for Scherzer to pitch game 6 and JV to pitch game 7 if necessary.

The thing that worries me is the bullpen. They didn't get very much work done in the ALDS. I wonder who Leyland will call upon if we need the bullpen.

^I'm not actually super worried about the pen.

Best case, we only see Veras, Smyly, and Benoit in games.
Worst case, Porcello throws some garbage innings in a blowout.

I trust porcello as long as he comes in with nobody on base. Or... Only someone on first.

I think that Porcello plays a more active role in this series.

I am hoping that Leyland puts Infante or Dirks in the leadoff spot (my unhealthy man-crush on uber-defensive-stud Iglesias makes me want to bat him leadoff against his old club as he tends to hit well in Fenway. I realize that experiment may completely backfire though).

God help me if Smokes starts another game this year with Kelly on the field...dude is a late defensive replacement, or pinch runner...PERIOD.

I am hoping that Princess with that last hit is now woken up...sheesh, dude is killing us right now...

I completely agree that Fenway plays into Miggy's hands from an offensive standpoint...into Peralta's hands defensively as even a ****** Manny Ramirez was serviceable in LF at Fenway.

Jimmy, just promise me that Al Al will not pitch more than one inning at a time...same with Benoit...and that Benoit won't pitch with a four run or more lead...that is all that I ask.

Doesn't miggy historically suck in Fenway though?

Because ESPN won't let me view the whole career, his numbers from 2010-2012 in Fenway goes as such:

    .286 with 2 homers, .318 on base, .548 slugging, .866 OPS.

And this year he went 0-4 so that'll skew the numbers a little bit.
