After Obama coming out saying he would think about changing the name, and now this meeting in Washington among owners, it's looking more and more like this might actually become an issue, and eventually change the name of our franchise in the near future. For the past couple of years, it has been brought up every offseason because pundits have nothing better to talk about, but now it appears that it might actually happen. If so, how do you feel about it? I for one am completely, 100% against changing the name. IF the name ever changes, I will NEVER support the "new" franchise. I will watch them play for free on television, but will also be searching for a different team to root for. I will always wear my Redskins apparel and drink from my Redskins beer mug, but don't ever expect me to buy anything "Washington" without "Redskins" following it. Just because 9% of the country find the term offensive doesn't mean it should change, and I think of myself as a die-hard Redskin fan, I can never change that. If the team didn't have 80 years of history and 3 superbowls to their name it MIGHT be different, but I can not honestly say that I will support the team for a single second if they change the name. How does every one else feel?
