Best Nfl Player Of All Time

Who do u think the best player of all time is. I saw this on 1st and 10 on espn today.

I think the best is Lawernce Taylor becuse he was a sack machine. And tackled everyone on the field. I also feel it could be Ladanian.

Sanders, wouldn't even be a question had he not retired prematurely.

I second that. Barry put up huge numbers in a shortened career. Imagine where he could have been if he played another 5-6 years like it was possible to do. He'd be the undoubted best player ever. Currently, it's a toss up. There have been so many good players.

    Pre-2007
QB - Joe Montana, Dan Mario, Steve Young
RB - Barry Sanders, Jim Brown, Walt Payton
WR - Jerry Rice, Tim Brown, Cris Carter
Defense - Reggie White, Lawerence Taylor

    Currently
QB - Peyton Manning, Tom Brady
RB - Ladainian Tomlinson, Shaun Alexander
    WR - Marvin Harrison
Defense - Shawne Merriman, Brian Urlacher, Ray Lewis

Harrison????? I dont think so.... if you put any of those other players on another team they are still great. If you put Harrison on a different team... hes a sub par WR

Also Harrison is a no I would actually go with Chad Johnson
and the Running backs should go Jim Brown, Payton, Sanders
A lot of people forget but Jim Brown cut his career short too and Payton has more yards and a ring Sanders does not

To the cards guy Zach Thomas is one of the best in current I would say Jason Taylor is though
I would actually put Taylor up at two behind Urlacher and before Lewis
    Merriman is OFF MY LIST
    the cheater

    Steve Smith when healthy....

Thomas has been the most consistent player in the last 10 -12 years. hes a tackling machine. But Taylor is the best defensive player in the league (AFC for sure) for some time now.

Sub-par? I should smack for saying something stupid as that. Who you going to put there instead of Harrison? And don't say Moss or Ownes or I really will smack you.

It's not an order, it's a list. Besides, I'm not going to sit here and name every single player. I only meant to list 3 or so.
