I figured I'd just make a new thread so I could post some news, didn't think it made sense to post in the week 3 thread and we barely use the forum enough to bother making a random news thread.
-Beason has been demoted and Blackburn will be starting for the time being. RR says it's due to Beason not being in football shape yet.
I love this move. I was worried we wouldn't have the balls to do it, but until Beason looks like even a little bit of his former self he needs to be on the bench before he costs us majorly in a game. Hopefully he'll get to share some reps, but considering we usually only have 2 LBs on the field at a time I don't see him getting many. I don't know how I feel about Blackburn yet, but he'll probably only play 20 or so snaps per game and he's without a doubt a better tackler than Beason in his current shape.
-Kenyon Barner is expected to make his debut this week. He's practiced fully this week, it's just a matter of if he'll be active. I don't look for him to be a major contributor (maybe he'll get 5-10 reps; 3-5 touches), but I'd like to see him take a screen to the house. Hopefully he holds onto the ball better than he did in pre-season, otherwise he'll be in for a long season.
-Cards are going to be jumbled up on their OL with starting LT Brown being traded (though that will probably improve them) and could be without starting LG Colledge (who manhandled TB's McCoy and could be a real challenge for Star).
