Todd Redmond (4-2, 3.82 ERA)
vs Chris Tillman (16-7, 3.70 ERA)
Redmond continued his strong finish to the season by pitching seven solid innings against the Yankees during his last outing. It was the longest start of Redmond's career and he allowed just one run on four hits.
The ace of the staff, Tillman is closing in on 200 innings for the first time in his career. He took the loss on Thursday in Boston, allowing three runs over seven innings.
Wednesday September 25, 7:05
Esmil Rogers (5-8, 4.52 ERA)
vs Bud Norris (4-3, 4.63 ERA)
Rogers lasted just 2 1/3 innings during his last start against Boston. He struggled with the command of his secondary pitches en route to his shortest outing of the season. The bright side is that he allowed just two runs before getting a quick hook.
Norris is tentative, as he's been dealing with soreness in his right elbow and hasn't started since Sept. 8. Jason Hammel could replace him if he's deemed not healthy enough to face Toronto.
Thursday September 26, 7:05
Mark Buehrle (12-9, 4.09 ERA)
vs Miguel Gonzalez (10-8, 3.94 ERA)
Buehrle surpassed the 200-inning plateau for the 13th consecutive season during his last start against the Red Sox. He allowed just one run on five hits over six strong innings en route to his 12th victory of the season.
Gonzalez tied a career high with five walks and a career low with two hits on Saturday, taking the loss. He allowed three runs on one homer but otherwise bounced back well from a strained right groin. He's 2-5 with a 5.20 ERA in his last nine starts.
