One Week Left: Los Angeles Dodgers @ San Francisco Giants - September 24-26

    .........................

LOS ANGELES DODGERS (90-66) @ SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS (72-84)

    AT&T PARK

    Game 1: Tuesday, September 24th @ 7:15 PM

    VS.
    Hyun-Jin Ryu..........Matt Cain

    Code:

                                28 Starts 29
                                13 Wins 8
                                 7 Losses 9
                                3.03 ERA 4.06
                                1.20 WHIP 1.14
                                181.0 IP 177.1
                                144 K's 154
                                47 BB's 52

    Scouting Report:
Dodgers: Ryu will be pitching for the first time since Sept. 16. He's been the third starter since early in the season, but when Don Mattingly was asked about the postseason rotation, he sounded set only on Kershaw and Greinke..

Giants: This will be Cain's first season with only single-digit wins since he had finished 8-14 in 2008. Somewhat surprisingly, Cain has a 4.87 ERA at AT&T Park, compared to 3.25 on the road.

    Game 2: Wednesday, September 25th @ 7:15 PM

    VS.
    Ricky Nolasco......Madison Bumgarner

    Code:

                                32 Starts 31
                                8 Wins 13
                                2 Losses 9
                                3.14 ERA 2.77
                                1.20 WHIP 1.03
                                192.2 IP 201.1
                                157 K's 199
                                45 BB's 62

    Scouting Report:
Dodgers: Nolasco had been putting up Kershaw/Greinke numbers since his acquisition, but seemed to tail off his last two starts and needs a rebound to put management at ease about his postseason readiness.

Giants: Bumgarner needs one strikeout to become the fifth lefty in franchise history to reach 200 in a single season. The last was Jonathan Sanchez, who had 205 strikeouts in 2010.

    Game 3: Thursday, September 26th @ 7:15 PM

    VS.
    Edinson Volquez..........Tim Lincecum
    Code:

                                31 Starts 28
                                9 Wins 10
                                12 Losses 14
                                5.77 ERA 4.44
                                1.59 WHIP 1.31
                                165.1 IP 190.2
                                138 K's 187
                                74 BB's 74

    Scouting Report:
Dodgers: Volquez could be pitching for a postseason roster spot. He has shown steady improvement since signing last month and is coming off a quality start in Phoenix.

Giants: As a potential free agent, Lincecum could be making his final start in a Giants uniform. Lifetime, he's 45-37 with a 3.39 ERA at AT&T Park, with 771 strikeouts in 724 1/3 innings.

This could be Lincecum's last start as a Giant. I will be definitely watching that one

Would you trust a blind scout? Of course you wouldn't but that's what you do when you simply go by stats

Damn....that makes me kinda sad. Will be a fan of his wherever he goes (unless it's to the Dodgers).

Let's try to sweep so the Dodgers don't get home field advantage!! We definitely have the pitching lined up to do so.

Don't get too sad, we'll also be seeing Zito's last start as a Giant, so it sort of evens out.

Rumblings on Twitter that Zito's starting tomorrow and Bumgarner's being shut down. Reeeeeeally hoping it's a joke.

Confirmed. Blah. I'm all for Bum not pitching unnecessarily, but come on, dude just needs 1 more K.

Tony Abreu's jack in response to Yasiel Puig's absolute shot solidified him a spot as our utility guy for next year. Sabez best have been watching today

I was a little surprised at the welcome that Wilson got.

If it was the middle of a playoff race and not everyone in the stands was wearing dodger blue the fan reaction would have been different.

I hate this feeling where you have no Giants baseball to look forward to in October.
