It feels like just yesterday. A kid from Tennessee was drafted in the 5th round by the Oakland Raiders, entering an average receiving corps with a lot of upside. Denarius Moore, the eye popping, jaw dropping playmaker comes out of nowhere and emerges as the #2, then #1 receiver. What an unexpected boost coming from what was considered another weak draft for the Raiders outside of stud Stefen Wisniewski. Those were the good days.
I know it's just Week 2 guys and I understand the kid has a ton of potential and he's only 24 but...
I'm sick of Moore. He was my favorite wideout on the roster. Lately, his piss poor efforts, questionable attitude and passion, route running has left him undesirable for a starters' role in my opinion. He used to have glue on his hands but now catches like a baby seal. His drops are irritating and sickening. I might sound a little harsh but I'm only going off of observation. He used to get a pass from me all of the time but honestly my patience is running thin. And I don't know if you've guys noticed but Moore cannot get constant separation from his defenders, I'm not sure if he can be that dangerous #1 wideout like other teams have.
Rod Streater has outplayed this kid and Brice Butler is knocking at the door. They both play hungry and never give up and their body language is more favorable.
I may catch a lot of heat for this post but I just want to know what you guys think. Would you bench him or possibly trade him even while he somewhat still has good value?
