WR -- This is our biggest need on the team by quite a bit, in my opinion. Calvin is obviously a beast but who do we have after him? A bunch of smaller, slot type WR in Broyles, Edwards and a declining Nate Burleson. The Lions need a field stretcher across from Calvin not only to take pressure off of him but to open up the middle of the field some more.
Players to watch: Marquise Lee (USC), Sammy Watkins (Clemson), Mike Evans (Texas A&M)
TE -- Pettigrew and Scheffler are in contract years. Both should be let go because frankly, both are absolute trash. Fauria has shown flashes. I'd like to see a little more before I crown him but he looks like a nice receiving option for Stafford. We don't know what we have in Michael Williams yet. That's not to say he doesn't have upside..we just can't go into next year with him as one of our top 2 TE.
Players to watch: Austin Seferian-Jenkins (Washington), Arthur Lynch (Georgia), C.J. Fiedorowicz (Iowa)
C -- Dom looked improved Sunday, at least in my mind, but he's still old in football years. Plus he's in the final year of his contract. We have no viable back up option on the roster so I'd say it's a pretty big hole/need going into next off season.
Players to watch: Travis Swanson (Arkansas), Tyler Larsen (Utah State), Gabe Ikard (Oklahoma)
