Thursday, September 5 at Yankee Stadium | 7:05 PM ET
Jake Peavy, RHP (3-1, 3.18 ERA)
Ivan Nova, RHP (8-4, 2.88 ERA)
RED SOX: Peavy has given the Red Sox a big boost since his arrival, going 3-1 with a 3.18 ERA in six starts. This will be Peavy's first "rivalry" start against the Yankees, a team he is 0-4 lifetime against with a 3.96 ERA.
YANKEES: Fresh off winning the American League Pitcher of the Month Award, Nova will take an 8-4 record and a 2.88 ERA into a start against the Red Sox. Nova threw the first shutout of his career in his last outing against the Orioles.
Friday, September 6 at Yankee Stadium | 7:05 PM ET
Felix Doubront, LHP (10-6, 3.89 ERA)
Andy Pettitte, LHP (10-9, 4.01 ERA)
RED SOX: The lefty will try to shake off a shaky last outing, when he went just 3 2/3 innings and allowed seven hits and four runs. Doubront is 5-2 with a 3.82 ERA on the road this season.
YANKEES: Pettitte will look to continue building on his recent success against Boston. The left-hander has allowed six runs over his last over his last 25 2/3 innings, including a win against the Red Sox where he gave up three unearned runs over 6 2/3.
Saturday, September 7 at Yankee Stadium | 1:05 PM ET
John Lackey, RHP (8-12, 3.22 ERA)
David Huff, LHP (2-0, 1.13 ERA)
RED SOX: Last time out against the Yankees, Lackey got a season-high 17 ground balls as he spun 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball. He's thrown four straight quality starts.
YANKEES: Huff will make his first start for the Yankees after being inserted into the rotation to replace Phil Hughes. The left-hander has been nearly unhittable since being called up on Aug. 15, giving up just one run on six hits over 15 innings of relief.
Sunday, September 8 at Yankee Stadium | 1:05 PM ET
Jon Lester, LHP (13-8, 3.88 ERA)
Hiroki Kuroda, RHP (11-10, 2.99 ERA)
RED SOX: With his cutter in vintage form, Lester has gone six straight games in which he's allowed three earned runs or fewer -- a streak he's only beaten once, a nine-game stretch of brilliance in 2009.
YANKEES: Kuroda has seen his ERA rise from 2.33 on Aug. 12 to 2.99 nearly a month later, giving up 23 runs in his last 23 innings. His struggles seemed to start in his last start against Boston on Aug. 17, when he gave up five runs on 11 hits over 5 2/3.
