    Week 1 Picks

Who you like against the spread or money line?

I got Bucs -3.5 at Jets which seems easy, thing is moving though.

There's certainly others but I like that one for starters.

ay are they real ones though? Local sports stations always post the way early odds and never adjust during the course of the week.

Also I love Saints this week at -3.
    Packers+4.5
    Giants+3
    Chiefs-3.5

I love Cards to but I think I might play them on money line since your able to win more.

I might also play like a parlay where I put 3 or 4 for sure winners with the Raiders on it. I just have this inkling they'll pull some big upset or come close to it and cover spread.
Just not sold on Colts as being a blowout type of team yet.

I have to wait to see what the odds are, but Chicago has screwed me 2 weeks in a row now.

I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed, its the nature of that sport.

I like CIN at CHI a bit too.

Big fan of taking the Cardinals and the points too.

Touch surprised the DET line is moving upwards. -5.5, I know it's in DET and that's not anything ridiculous but still. Not sure what they've shown.

For some reason I don't want to bet on it but I think HOU will trounce SD.

I dunno how were enemies, we thinking alike lol.
I'm kinda surprised the Texans are being severely underrated on the spread. I haven't checked week 2 sched's but unless they have a divisional opponent on a Thursday nighter the next week, or have to travel across country, I don't understand the low spread. Hopkins is most likely going to play to and I just don't like Chargers secondary but loveeee their pass rush. DOn't think it'll be enough though.

I'm also leaning towards the Vikes. If anything I'll tease it.
Lions secondary is awful and I think with AP's threat, Jennings and Patterson should have a field day deep or at the very minimum opening things up for Rudolph. I think the bookies are daring us to take a chance on Ponder pretty much, which is freaken scarey as hell but I'm willing to take the bait.

It's absolutely the Ponder thing you just said. I don't see how it's anything else. I said that almost word for word today at work when they talked about it on the radio.

If that game is purely neutral and I don't see the line first, I'm favoring MIN points, 1-3, not sure exactly. By the -3 rule they're 2.5 point favorites, it's a 5 point swing as to how I see it.

SD has a those nice guys on the line but I mean, OLB's...I guess they have Freeney, color my unimpressed. CB's are crap. They have Weddle I guess.

OL is terrible. RB is glass. They have a #2 WR and a bunch of #3s. Maybe Keenan Allen is something one day, he's not now.

Rivers is gonna get pummeled again all year.

It's a terrible team. I wouldn't be surprised if they were in the running for the #1 pick.

"We have been watching and waiting, but I wouldn't say we intend to continue to do that. I think you watch and wait to try and assess a situation and act accordingly. It might involve more waiting. It might involve moving in one direction or another. We've done plenty of watching and waiting. If we can move in a particular direction, we might do that."

Ya, Ponder having that big of a swing on a spread must suck for Vikes fans. The bookies are even calling out their QB lol.

I agree with your Chargers break down, they should've just traded Rivers to a team like the Jets for a high pick and aimed for one of the big QB's coming out of college this year. Their GM is hard headed, once Turner left they should've broken down the whole roster.

Why, its basically another home game for the Giants. Cowboy Stadium has been a feasting ground for you guys and injuries or not, divisional games that kinda crap usually doesn't matter. Giants love spanking the Cowboys, and always have come through for me when I pick em at their stadium.

I love the Ravens when it was at +9.

    I like the Browns PK.

I also like the Bucs -3.

    Parlayed Bears, Saints and Texans.

I've never done organized betting, but I'm thinking about getting involved with a few people who bet weekly on certain games. I'm planning on using $300 for the season and no more, but I'll bet more if I win. The only reason I'm getting started is one of the guys is a huge Seahawks fan and bet me $150 to my $50 that the Seahawks will be my Panthers week 1. I already feel like we have a good chance, but I can't back down from defending my team, especially when I stand to triple quadruple my money. I get the feeling like he's trying to bait me into the group so he can take me to the cleaners down the road though.

EDIT: After looking over the links, I'd be tempted to go with Philly in the MNF game. Philly could be a sleeper depending how Kelly's scheme looks, and I almost certainly expect RG3 to be rusty in his first game.

I like Cardinals to upset the Rams. They have a top 10 defense.

I would take the Vikings only if I got 7.5 pts.

Houston pays very well considering they're so much better.

No idea why you like Cinci. I think they're a bit overrated and they're playing at Solider Field.
