In his two Major League starts this season, he's allowed nine runs.MAHOLM: Maholm said his mechanics felt as good as they had at the beginning of the season after he held the Indians to one run on six hits over six innings last Wednesday. He's posted an ERA of 5.46 in 10 day-game starts this season.
TORRES: In his first start replacing Matt Harvey in the rotation, Torres was stellar. He allowed only one run on four hits over 6 2/3 innings against the Phillies. Torres has given up only one run in three of his four starts this season.MEDLEN: Medlen produced an efficient scoreless seven innings against the Indians on Thursday. With the help of an improved curveball and more consistent fastball command, he has posted a 1.96 ERA in his past four starts.
GEE: Gee kept rolling on Friday, beating the Nationals for the fourth time this season by giving up two runs -- both on solo homers -- over 7 2/3 innings. He now has a 2.47 ERA over his past 17 starts since May 30._________________________________________________TEHERAN: Teheran matched Marlins ace Jose Fernandez pitch for pitch on Friday and came away with eight strikeouts and just one run allowed on four hits over 6 1/3 innings. He has a 1.42 ERA in two starts against the Mets this year.
