Anyone Think Not Retaliating Cost Us Respect?

After not retaliating over the clear intentional hit on A-Rod.. The Red Sox continued to hit Yankee batters for a total of 4 hit batters over the entire game.. Anyone think this couldn't have been prevented if Yankee pitchers hit someone like Ortiz saying we don't appreciate getting hit on purpose? Yankee batters were hit by pitches 4 times!

Curt Schilling said at the end of the game he was still surprised there was no retaliation by the Yankees..

Man its times like these that makes me miss AJ Burnett..

No. There is no reason to retaliate now and risk losing the game. We play them many more times this year. Plenty of time.

If CC had intentionally hit someone and got ejected it would have taxed the bullpen and they have a double header coming up on Tuesday so they need to be rested.

The other hits were clearly unintentional, almost as clear as the Arod HBP was intentional.

Lose respect? No, in this game there was no time and place to get revenge because we never had a comfortable enough lead to be able to afford to put a runner on base and with both sides warned(stupid) after Arod was beaned, CC didn't want to get ejected early.

We see them again in 2 weeks. Something will be done.

I hope you guys are right. After that 1st intentional hit by pitch on A rod, 3 more batters were hit. That last hit by pitch on Cano especially pissed me off.

Yeah we won but there's no need for that in games.

Lots of games left this season. This was a close game and the Yanks could not afford to be giving them free base runners. Dumpster's decision backfired on him and I'm sure the Yankees will not forget this.

No. I'm disappointed. Wish pappy got one in his ear hole. But the W is what matters. When Boston comes to the Bronx in a couple weeks I'm sure someone will be drilled

I think retaliation and hitting a player intentionally is stupid. First off all, your fans look like complete pricks for cheering when someone gets hit. Second, you put a player on base. Giving a free baserunner is stupid. Thirdly, if you lose, like the Red Sox did tonight, you look really stupid for going all out and then getting your butt handed to you. I'd rather the Yankees take the high road and just crush the Red Sox instead of throwing a ball at a player.

The best retaliation is not only winning the game but then A-rod homering off Dumpster.

Why does that piss you off? Those were clearly unintentional.

If unintentional HBP pisses you off, I suggest a different sport cause it happens a lot.
