Brett Gardner, 'The Stud', has swag!

Anyone notice lately how Brett Gardner is looking more like a stud and has swag when he is on the field?

He used to just be that skinny fast guy who was always a threat to steal who got caught too often. Now he looks very confident at bat and in the field. Hits with runners in scoring position and I am not surprised when he jacks one out. He seems to becoming a smarter player. Who knows how good he just may turn out to be? I am glad we have him.

Yeah, if he could steal a few more bases and avoid some streakiness he encounters he'd be an allstar and possibly the best lead off hitter in the game.

And about when he hits one out - nor am I anymore. And he hits absolute shots sometimes. I could swear anytime he hits a hr at the stadium, it lands in the second deck.

We should sign him to an extension now before he gets any better.

I'm not sure how much better he is going to get. He isn't exactly young or anything. But he has been playing very well(as he always has, pretty much) and does look confident out there.

I'd definitely like to see him stick around, but it seems like we're in for a roster overhaul in at least a few years, so it's hard to say what will happen.

The important thing is that he's only struck out 109 times and its August.

That's because he is now a power hitter. His HR to K ratio is the best it's ever been!

Wow, you're using a stat. How long did it take you to find that number?
