Syndergaard is on a strick pitch and innings count right now. Taken out the last 2 starts even though his pitch count was very low. Mets probably only want him to go another 30 or so innings, but am sure they also want him to pitch in the playoffs for Binghamton and help them win a title, so they are limiting him right now instead of shutting him down with a week or 2 left in the year.
Syndergaard has been fantastic since being promoted to AA. He could definitely be up sometime next year although I doubt he starts the year in the majors. He's been absolutely dominant since moving up to AA. Very encouraging. Hope he keeps it up. We could have another top of the rotation type of starter on our hands.
