    Colorado Rockies (51-55) @ Atlanta Braves (60-45) 7/29-8/1

    @

    Colorado Rockies@ Atlanta Braves

    Monday, 7/29 7:10 PM

Jorge De La Rosa, LHP (10-5, 2.97 ERA)vsBrandon Beachy, RHP (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

De La Rosa said he struggled with command early but you wouldn't know by the numbers -- no runs, five hits, five strikeouts, one walk in a win over the Marlins on Wednesday. A chronic thumb bruise flared on a bunt, but he said it won't affect him.

Back from Tommy John elbow reconstructive surgery, Beachy will be making his first start since June 16, 2012. Beachy will take Tim Hudson's place in the rotation after posting a 2.50 ERA in his last four rehab starts.

    Tuesday, 7/30 7:10 PM

    Juan Nicasio, RHP (6-4, 4.40 ERA)vs Alex Wood, LHP (0-2, 3.42 ERA)

After a two-start demotion to Triple-A Colorado Springs, Nicasio has come back confident with a well-placed fastball. He has posted an 0.47 ERA in three starts, with 15 strikeouts and four walks in 19 innings.

Wood has made just three starts, two at the big league level, since being promoted to Atlanta in late May. He showed some rust against the Mets on Thursday as he surrendered eight hits (all singles) in 4 1/3 innings.

    Wednesday, 7/31 7:10 PM

    Tyler Chatwood, RHP (7-3, 2.48 ERA)vs Mike Minor, LHP (10-5, 2.89 ERA)

Chatwood overpowered the Brewers lineup Friday with a career-high 11 strikeouts over seven innings. Though he did allow two runs in the sixth, a sharp fastball and diving breaking balls gave him his second straight win.

Minor picked up his 10th win of the season by scattering just four hits over seven innings against a dangerous Cardinals lineup last Friday. The left-hander has allowed a total of six earned runs in his last four starts.

    Thursday, 8/1 7:10 PM

TBAvs Julio Teheran, RHP (7-5, 3.07 ERA)

Teheran showcased his best command of the season on Saturday, mixing in his curveball to keep the Cardinals off balance over seven scoreless innings. The Braves have not won back-to-back Teheran starts since May 9.

Before his injury last year, Beachy was issuing a lot of free passes to LH hitters, which isn't what we want vs a guy like Fowler (career .408 OBP vs Braves) who always seems to kill us. His slider could be a devastating weapon though.

Indeed. Terdo has down some horrible at bats. Hopefully he shows improvement today.
