Man, ARod needs to just take the suspension. I almost see it as a blessing in disguise; let the heat die down, get completely healthy and in good shape for the last 2 or 3 years of his career, and avoid the seemingly inevitable lifetime suspension.

Don't forget about Dre.
Yankees want the lifetime ban.
I'm not sure what I'd do if I was Arod. He's basically stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. Lifetime suspension obviously means he won't play anymore (hurray for stating the obvious) but at his age a 1.5 year suspension would be pretty close to him essentially never playing again either. He still has years on his contract after 2014 but I'm not sure how his body would hold up.
I'd probably just take the 1.5 though because he will have 1.5 years to rehab with not trying to force himself to get back into the game until 2015.
rest/rehab or not, he'll never be a great baseball player again, but there's 60 million reasons for him to take the suspension...
This news were not a good birthday gift for him.
A-Rod should tell them to shove this deal up their ***. He never tested positive for steroids. If you're going to suspend every player that's ever been linked to steroids, you're going to be suspending half the league. It's absolutely ridiculous how the MLB is making up the rules as they go along here, offering plea deals like they're prosecutors. If I'm A-Rod, I'd say that if they suspend me, I'm going to provide a list of every player I know took steroids, and expect those players to get the same treatment that I did, lifetime bans.
Coming soon to a TKRO stadium near you
I mean if he truly loves playing,& his choices are this or get a lifetime ban.. I'll take this deal. But I still try to fight it
I think it's too much. It's around a 220 game ban! That's insane!
If it was a 162 game ban at least I'd understand!
Ewing dunk past Mourning
-HORRIBLE out of timeouts
-Too many 3's
-PF is pushed to the 3 point line
-Doesn't play BIGS
-Dog Houses players
-HORRIBLE management of players and motivation
Go out on your front lawn, take a dump and see how long your neighbors will talk about that little slice of life. That's what Mike D did to this franchise./QUOTE]
LOL at the people who still think A-Rod cares about ever playing the game again. He is a first class douche and his decision will be purely based on what lets him salvage as much of his mamoth contract as possible. There is not an ounce of respect or love for the game in A-Rod and I wouldnt be surprised if when he goes down he drags a few others with him.
