    Nets sign Alan Anderson

    Marc J. Spears ‏@SpearsNBAYahoo 5m
Guard Alan Anderson signs 2-year deal with Nets, agent Mark Bartelstien said.
Basketball is like war in that offensive weapons are developed first, and it always takes a while for the defense to catch up.

Solid. He killed the Knicks last year.

Did anyone else read this as "Nets sign Allen Iverson" at first glance? I got real excited for a minute there. Never heard of this dude before.

Oh Ok. Wasn't trying to be ***hole, I legitimately had no clue who he was. You're teams' Alan Anderson was my teams' Wayne Ellingtonl last year lol.

No joke, I'd probably me more fearful of Brooklyn if they signed Wayne Ellington to a deal, because it's literally as if the dude averages 5 made three's against the Heat.

He's a pretty solid player who doesn't get enough time to show his worth, IMO. I can't believe that a) he went this long unsigned and b) that the Nets picked up another solid player - their team is pretty stacked.

He shot 38.3% from the field last year and 38.7% the year before. He shoots a lot... I see him as a backup in case Jason Terry gets hurt or plays like he did last year.

He won't play much, but he's a nice option to have in case of injury.

Solid signing great depth addition, he's talented but very streaky.
