#Braves Hudson has fractured ankle, will have surgery in Atlanta when swelling goes down. Done for the year.

Somewhat good news, he can come back from this and I expect him to do so. But he is done for this season

    Terrible and sad news

I cant wait to stand on the podium with Zygi and Mark and Jonathan, and were standing on the podium, and we look up and the confetti is falling down on top of us, and were all hand in hand, and Commissioner Goodell comes over and hands the Super Bowl trophy to Mr. Wilf and tells him hes world champion, that is my goal and that is my drive.

I don't know a whole lot about Eric Young, but after what I saw following the injury I would take a guy like that on my team any day of the week.

That injury was hard to watch. It made me sick thinking how unfair it is to Hudson. He won't have many more chances to pitch in the playoffs in his career, and it appears as if he lost this season.

I'm going to take this time to say, Thank you Hudson, you truly helped us get along and maintain an ability to continue to get into the postseason after the big three retired. And if we don't ever get to see your awesome work on the mound ever again, thank you for everything you have done as a Brave, you will be missed and we'll never forget.

That's exacty what I was thinking. I felt just as bad for him as I did for Hudson.

I'm just wondering how this changes the Braves plans heading into the Trade Deadline. We all had assumed that Medlen was moving to the pen to clear a spot for Wood, which probably won't happen now. Beachy should be back soon, but will this put them in the market for a SP now?

Hudson was set to be a free agent at the end of the season, any chance they now look at someone like Peavy who would be under control past this season? Or do they use internal options? I personally would not be opposed to making a move for a proven SP now. Right now with the state of the rotation there really isn't any postseason experience.

You do know he is a FA next season and is a sub-par pitcher. Moving McCann only happens by a crazy deal in our favor.
