Ivan Nova, RHP (4-2, 3.63 ERA)
Yu Darvish, RHP (8-4, 3.02 ERA)
YANKEES: Nova has made four career start against Texas, combining to go 2-1 with a 5.09 ERA. He earned the victory in his only career start vs. Texas at Rangers Ballpark on May 6, 2011, allowing a run on two hits in 7 1/3 innings.
RANGERS: Darvish is coming off the DL with fatigue in his right trapezius muscle. He is 1-3 with a 3.07 ERA in his last nine starts. That includes a no-decision vs. the Yankees on June 25 when he allowed three runs in 5 1/3 innings in the Rangers' 4-3 loss.
Tuesday, July 23 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington | 8:05 PM ET
Phil Hughes, RHP (4-9, 4.57 ERA)
Alexi Ogando, RHP (4-2, 2.93 ERA)
YANKEES: Hughes had a start of mixed results in his last outing, striking out a season-high 10 batters but also permitting three homers in a loss to the Twins. He took a tough-luck loss vs. Texas on June 27, allowing two runs in eight innings.
RANGERS: Ogando will make his first start since June 5. He was placed on the 13-day DL with right shoulder inflammation on June 9. Ogando has made just 10 starts this year due to injuries. He's 2-0 with a 1.59 ERA in two home starts this season.
Wednesday, July 24 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington | 8:05 PM ET
Andy Pettitte, LHP (7-7, 4.47 ERA)
Derek Holland, LHP (8-5, 3.10 ERA)
YANKEES: The last seven starts have been frustrating for Pettitte, as he has gone 2-4 with a 5.40 ERA, watching opponents hit .311 against him since a gem on June 8 at Seattle. Most troubling of all for Pettitte is that he feels completely healthy.
RANGERS: Holland took his first loss in six starts his last time out, allowing three runs in eight innings against the O's. It was his fourth start of eight or more innings this season and his fifth straight quality outing.
