                                         123.2 IP 116.1
                                         69 K's 125
                                         23 BB's 48

    Scouting Report:
Reds: Arroyo's allowed three or fewer runs in seven of eight starts and five runs in July, all on homers. He beat the Giants (one run, two hits over six innings) at home on July 1 but is 0-4 with a 4.11 career ERA at AT&T Park.

Giants: Lincecum was the losing pitcher when Cincinnati's Homer Bailey no-hit the Giants on July 2. Then Lincecum authored the Major Leagues' next no-hitter two outings later. What direction will his season take?
    Game 2: Tuesday, July 23rd @ 4:05 PM

    VS.
    Barry Zito......Tony Cingrani

    Code:

                                           19 Starts 10 (15 appearances)
                                            4 Wins 3
                                            7 Losses 1
                                            4.88 ERA 3.23

                                            103.1 IP 64.0
                                            67 K's 77
                                            41 BB's 26

    Scouting Report:
Giants: If Zito could pick a place to open the second half, it would be AT&T Park. He's 4-1 with a 2.45 ERA at home, compared with 0-6, 9.89 on the road. He's coming off his second-shortest start as a Giant.

Reds: Cingrani, who last pitched for the Reds on July 14, was optioned to the AZL Reds in a procedural move to add a bench player. But he will be back on the big league roster to start one of the games of the doubleheader.
    Game 3: Tuesday, July 23rd @ 7:15 PM

    VS.
    Greg Reynolds......Eric Surkamp

    Code:

                                            127.1 IP 20.2
                                            79 K's 16
                                            23 BB's 9

    Scouting Report:
Reds: Reynolds will be called up from Triple-A to make the start. The former No. 2 overall Draft pick by the Rockies in 2006, Reynolds only made 27 big league starts and none since '11. In 19 games for Louisville, he was 10-2 with a 2.54 ERA.

    Giants: Nada

    Game 4: Wednesday, July 24th @ 7:15 PM

    VS.
    Mike Leake..........Chad Gaudin
    Code:

                                            19 Starts 7 (25 appearances)
                                            9 Wins 4
                                            4 Losses 1
                                            2.79 ERA 2.15
                                            1.13 WHIP 1.07
                                            122.2 IP 71.0
                                            76 K's 63
                                            28 BB's 23

    Scouting Report:
Reds: Leake was cruising against the Bucs on Friday, but he gave up three solo homers in the sixth during a 5-3 win. High heat and humidity combined with running the bases and a long layoff from the All-Star break may have contributed to the rough inning.

Giants: Gaudin is 4-0 with a 2.23 ERA in seven starts since replacing injured Ryan Vogelsong. Though Vogelsong (fractured right pinkie) could leave the disabled list by mid-August, Gaudin is expected to stay in the rotation unless he slumps terribly.

I would be happy with a split, I'm thinking we win games 1&4, but I've been known to think so,e pretty stupid stuff.

I don't think we're going to win tonight, since Arroyo owns our souls. We can probably beat Leake if Gaudin can keep being awesome, and hopefully we can at least split the DH.

You're probably right about Arroyo, I was just hoping the Giants could get their heads out of their ***** long enough to get some vengeance from the no-hitter.

I was looking into Greg Reynolds, remembering he's from Pacifica, so he'll probably have a big crowd on Tuesday. Anyhow, I know it's a wildly small sample size and the numbers are as a reliever while playing in COL but here's what current Giants have done v. Reynolds:

    Francoeur: 1/3, 3B, RBI
    Crawford: 1/1, HR, RBI
    Sandoval: 1/1, HR, 3RBI

Belt & Torres are each 0/1 and Cain is 1/1, no one else has ever faced him.
