Andy Pettitte, LHP (7-6, 4.39 ERA)
Felix Doubront, LHP (6-3, 3.91 ERA)
YANKEES: Pettitte has been displeased by his performance this season at age 41. The lefty is 2-3 with a 5.35 ERA over his last six starts, and opponents have hit .320 against him in those games. He defeated the Red Sox on April 4 in New York.
RED SOX: After a couple hiccups early in the season, Doubront has given up only three or more earned runs twice in his past 11 starts. He allowed just one run on five hits while striking out six batters over seven strong frames against Seattle.
Saturday, July 20 at Fenway Park | 4:05 PM ET
Hiroki Kuroda, RHP (8-6, 2.65 ERA)
John Lackey, RHP (7-6, 2.78 ERA)
YANKEES: You can make a case that Kuroda was snubbed from the All-Star Game; his ERA is lower than anyone in the AL not named Felix Hernandez. Kuroda hasn't allowed a run in 12 July innings but is 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA vs. Boston this year.
RED SOX: Lackey has been Boston's best pitcher over the last month, and he hopes to continue that trend against the Yankees. Opponents are hitting just .236 against him this season. Lackey held the A's to three hits and two runs over seven in his last start.
Sunday, July 21 at Fenway Park | 8:05 PM ET
CC Sabathia, LHP (9-8, 4.07 ERA)
Jon Lester, LHP (8-6, 4.58 ERA)
YANKEES: Sabathia is trying to rebound from what he called a "terrible" first half. He's trying to fix an arm slot issue from his last start. Hs 1-1 against Boston this year, including beating them with 7 1/3 innings of one-run ball May 31.
RED SOX: The lefty has been inconsistent the last few weeks and would love to open the second half with a good start against the Yankees. Lester did produce a quality start against Oakland in his last outing, giving up three runs over 6 1/3 innings.
