From SI: Tigers Interested in Tim Lincecum as a Reliever

    http://tracking.si.com/2013/07/16/ti...as-a-reliever/

Acquiring him would cost the Tigers a lot. I wouldnt be opposed to him seeing as I think he really could help out the team. But a $22 million cap hit -- thats huge. Granted, taking on such a contract could balance out the prospects the Tigs would need to give up. For 22 million, they could keep both Garcia and Castellanos

And you know what, based off of his recent performances, they could convert him back to a starter after Mad Max is gone, presuming he is, for a decent price. His numbers dont warrant another huge deal, and they could get him at a decent price

I would only like this if it didn't cost us a lot in players.

Based on his last two seasons and his salary, the trade should not cost us much as the money is crazy. I would be strange to see him in another uniform though, I must say.

the brewers have several relievers on the market, hell if your willing to pick up the remaining salary on Axford's contract you could probably get him for next to nothing.

Idunno man, 0 saves, 4 blown saves. BAA is up, WHIP is up (a little), walks are up. For next to nothing? Sure, but at this point I wouldn't give up anyone of significance

this will never happen Timmy wants to stay and after his last two starts he would not want to go to pen ...not to mention it would be very unpopular move in San Francisco

It probably won't happen, but if Tim doesn't have a no trade clause then he may not have much say in that.

This move doesn't make sense to me unless we are dealing one of our starters, obviously the guy has good stuff but his value is higher as a starter. Does Porcello move to the pen? Porcello or Smyly for an outfielder in a separate deal? I'm confused...
