Montreal Canadiens 2013 Roster / Potential Lineups

So with the Roster beginning to take shape, what do you guys think the roster will look like come game #1?

Just off the top of my head and who knows, I'm probably forgetting someone.

    Pacs Pleks Gionta
    Bourque Briere Gallagher
    Galchenyuk Eller Prust
    Moen/Dumont/Parros White/Desharnais Moen/Dumont/Parros/Blunden

    Subban Georges
    Markov Emelin
    Diaz/Tinordi/Bouillon

    Price
    Budaj

Thoughts? I think we need to trade Desharnais if possible ASAP as well as Gionta if possible. If we can get anything in return for them great, if not then save the cap space. It would allow us to get another top 6 winger.

Didn't MTL just resign DD?? Why would they trade him, or why would you want them to? He's a good player

I am not a fan of Trading Dave. He is not just a good player, he is one of the guys who sparks the team.

Trading away a guy like that is a horrible idea.

David Desharnais was below average last year. He is due 14 million over 4 years and is only in the 2nd year of his deal. You don't go get a guy like Briere to keep DD on the team imo. Where do you see him playing in the lines I made there or if you can make your own lines that would be easier to be able to discuss.

Well i think it depends on whether MTL plans to use Briere as a RW or center. Thought looking at it, someone is getting bumped down into a position they probably aren't suited for.

    Pacioretty-Plekanec-Gionta
    Bourque-DD-Briere
    Galchenyuk-Eller-Gallagher
    Moen-White-Parros

IMO, if DD can be moved, you move him. He's not worth the contract he just got. That was a mistake by MB. But since he won't be moved, he'll be our 2C or 3C. I think it's more likely that DD stays at C and Briere gets bumped out to winger.

You're missing Prust and that's the problem
